O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness!

Bow down before him, his glory proclaim;
with gold of obedience, and incense of lowliness,
kneel and adore him: the Lord is his Name!

Low at his feet lay thy burden of carefulness,
high on his heart he will bear it for thee,
and comfort thy sorrows, and answer thy prayerfulness,
guiding thy steps as may best for thee be.

Fear not to enter his courts in the slenderness
of the poor wealth thou wouldst reckon as thine;
for truth in its beauty, and love in its tenderness,
these are the offerings to lay on his shrine.

These, though we bring them in trembling and fearfulness,
he will accept for the Name that is dear;
mornings of joy give for evenings of tearfulness,
trust for our trembling and hope for our fear.

To accomplish something is to complete a task, whether it is washing the dishes or winning the Super Bowl. The Bible mentions many physical accomplishments, but it also highlights spiritual accomplishments, which we so often overlook—an active prayer life, Christian maturity, telling a neighbor about your faith, a moral victory over temptation, a tender word of encouragement to a child.   We live in a world where our sinful nature urges us to first look out for ourselves. Rather than take responsibility for our own actions and faults, our first instinct is to accuse someone or something else – anything to take the focus off ourselves and avoid the consequences of our mistakes.  But accusations are often justified as well – a crime is committed, a costly mistake is made, a sin was committed that threatens a relationship. In these cases, it is necessary to accuse the one who did wrong so that justice can be served and restitution made.
